Narrated walk “The Battle of Pozières” - Pozières
As part of the ANZAC Day commemorations, come with your family and friends to learn about the history of the Battle of Pozières, where the AIF lost 23 000 men in 6 weeks of fighting. Following your instructions, find the places and men who distinguished themselves in this area and watch reconstructions of real events carried out by actors in uniform.
This year, the Digger Côte 160 Association invites you to join them on Sunday 23rd April 2017 at Pozières for the 8th edition of its narrated walk. For those who enjoy walking, we propose you discover the history of the Battle of Pozières and Mouquet Farm from a different angle. New themes will be touched upon this year, like the fate of the villagers under German occupation, the terrible secret of women at the hands of the occupier and the fate of an Aboriginal Australian who fought at mouquet Farm. The newly opened Remembrance Farm will also be visited.
Participants are invited to raise a glass to friendship at the end of the event.
Tariffs: €10 for adults, €5 for children from 6 to 12 years old.
