A musical tale with songs, images and instruments from the First World War, created by the soldiers themselves. Follow the story of a young French soldier, Emile, through the trenches, military camps, prison camps and Eastern Front…
His story is illustrated by songs written by soldiers and set to well-known music.

Sunday 22 June 2014 from 11am to 1pm and from 2.30pm to 5pm
Song writing, instrument making and musical activities based on the First World War with Philippe Gibaux and Claude Ribouillault.
Materials provided (but you are welcome to bring in tins, pieces of wood, nylon, etc.). Visitors leave with the instruments they created!
The workshops are held in the Salle des Douves. Admission is free. Open to all.
