The Little Train of the Haute Somme is holding its traditional steam festival on Sunday 24th September 2017 !
Three steam trains will be heated up in the morning from 9am, ready to take passengers on rides through the countryside of the Somme. The freight trains are composed of wagons dating from the First World War, and indeed this very railway line was created in 1916 for the needs of the Battle of the Somme !
Visitors will also be able to enjoy stalls, activities and music, while children can enjoy a ride on a miniature steam train.
Visitors can come to the site at 9am to watch the trains being heated up, the museum opens at 10am and train rides begin at 11am (continuing every 45 minutes from 1.45pm to 5.30pm).
